Happy Birthday to the fray.
I wonder what it feels like to have had something going so long that it rates anniversaries. A project that is respected and draws a wide audience ... I wonder if it feels nice, or if it's just confusing or if it's unpleasant.
Though I think I've had my share of unpleasantness today, all of it work-related.
I filled out a proposal for a course at the Center for Career Education at the George Washigton University and have my fingers crossed that it will be approved. My learning PERL can only benefit the company and make me a better employee, not to mention providing much needed backup for our lone programmer.
It's been a busy day.
We had a lunch meeting too, which was as fascinating as usual, but bore the distinction of having much better food. Instead of pre-made sandwiches we had a selection of cold-cuts and cheese, plain salads with dressing on the side and a choice of breads to construct our sandwiches on. I, for one, was very very pleased.
I'm now cooling off and looking forward to Sabs getting home and making us dinner and being quiet and domestic for an evening.
