Safety.
You can't every really know if you are safe. But at the same time you can't live in fear.
A friend of mine just witnessed a shooting downtown at Union Station. She was all shaken up on the phone. I didn't know what to say. I've never seen a violent crime before. Ever.
She said that the place turned into mayhem. Tourists all over the place at that station. Screaming, running, chaos. How do you stay calm in that kind of situation? How do you control panic?
How do you know when it's safe to walk somewhere. Chance could throw anything at you.
I've mostly taken life as it comes. Though there are situations that I've tried to prepare myself for by going over them in my mind.
How are you supposed to prepare for something like that?
I don't think you can.
