So I slept for 12 hours last night.

And boy did it feel nice to wake up and feel rested this morning. Poor sabs had a bad night. But I was so dead asleep that I didn't wake up for a bit of it.

Sometimes it's scary to think that you can be asleep and someone could come in and look at you and you wouldn't know because you're not conscious of the world around you. I'm usually a fairly light sleeper, unusual noises wake me up in a flash. Even the cars pulling out of the parking lot as people go to work, very early, usually wakes me up.

I suppose that today was very silent, however. It's raining and gray and there's a sort of hush over everything. Perhaps everyone just feels depressed by the weather, though I for one, was just as glad that it's raining because it' one heck of a tourist-deterrent. There was a small handful of people getting on the train today, all looking rather fearfully at the sky as if hoping it wouldn't swoop down and eat them up in a steaming ball of thunder and lightning.

I'm actually pretty happy right now. My Winnie, is coming home. Winnie, is my "little sister" from Smith College. She's been in Geneva all year, experiencing a European education as I did, two years ago, now. She's flying in on July 3rd and I can't wait to see her, and the changes that the year has wrought upon her. She'll be staying with sabs and I for the rest of the summer, which will be a good time for us to catch up and be "gals" together.
